OK to mount relay tranny outside chassis?

Post by Tonegeek »

Due to space limitations I want to mount my 12v relay xfrmr outside the chassis, nestled close to the PT and OT. Is this ok? I am concerned about hum. Thanks,

It should be fine. Just use the rules of xformer mounting, make sure the windings are not parallel.
