attn EU / UK - avoid this store

Post by spiralstairs »

Hi all,

Not sure how to word this exactly but wanted to warn anyone shopping from UK or in general the EU:

avoid this site: guitarengineeringltd.com

Its a shame that in the EU we have limited resources for amp parts + guitar parts, but stick to known good ones (like tube-town..).
guitarengineeringltd used to be known as Arranz Guitars in Spain. Search google about arranz and you'll see what it was like - I lost quite some money on an order from them :/

guitarengineeringltd has been around for a few months and bad reviews are starting to pop up :/ (they just deleted their facebook page recently, I went on there and saw many poor souls asking "where is my order") ... so just wanted to try and help anyone else avoid the headache and just stay away - buy elsewhere

Ahh, that explains why their Valve Art KT66 are such a good price. Thanks for the tip off, I was going to order some. Pete.

Hello

Is it OK to make this kind of post on Amp Garage Forum ?

I'm glad to be warned from scammers, most of us work hard to earn our living, I like to spend my money with honnest sellers and for sure, I wont order anything from ''guitarengineeringltd.com'' Thank for the info.

I wouldn't post if it was just a bad experience I had (or perhaps I'd post in a different way, explaining the issue) - I posted because I started seeing more and more ppl having the same issues, and its just sick to see that such a store can exist and just keep going, so there needs to be some word out there.

They'll probably close down and reopen under another name later this year...

Thanks for the heads up. It's always disappointing how few decent EU sources there are for parts, so it's even more disappointing when a new one springs up and isn't as legit as they make out.
