I prefer this http://www.gwillmusic.com/media/ddb2.mp3 (newer 1265 clip with better mic position) to this RWB clip http://www.gwillmusic.com/media/dmbl2.mp3

The RWB was my choice. I found it to be a bit muddy once I A/Bed with my new Celestion 1265. Not a bad speaker, but when comparing directly, there is no doubt which I prefer.

Do You prefer the tone of the clip no:3 more than the 1 and 2 ? I was in impression that the RWB was Your choise for the D-style amps, but maybe it is old news. Definitely on my amp the RWB was an improvement for the Weber 1265 ceramic model.

I really should try the Celestions.

But this seems a matter of taste. I seem to prefer kind a 'honky' and midrangy sound, but that is just me

Sure, after I invest in a RW&B you go and change my mind.

What speakers were in the Glasman cab at the ampfest. They were excellent to my ears.

That was a Jenkins 2X12 w/ the Vox cloth to match the Glaswerks. Speakers were the Scumback H75 LDHC. These are very similar to the G1265 fwiw. Much closer sonically than the RWB.

Well, so do I based on the new clips, but on the other clips to me the RWB's rocked.

I don't know, I have to say that the RWB sounds better to me in all of the clips. It just jumps out of the mix better. Maybe the characterstics that do that for me would make the speaker sound dull in the room, but it sure sounds more "vocal" in context.
