anyone else having relay problems?

i have a small maker, all tube combo amp that has a couple of aviom relays for a footswitchable gain stage and have gone through 2 sets of relays in about 4 months. any thoughts? thanks, craig

Do you switch them in and out quickly and multiple times like that? That will knock them out, the coils are not designed for that.

that's what is weird, i really don't use the switching at all.

What does your relay supply look like?

Your relay is most likely seeing too much voltage and the coil is burning out. The coil is very fine wire, easy to destroy it with a few to many volts.
