Re: Two rock custom reverb sig sounds and guts
So what's the deal with the markings on the 6PS caps? I'm guessing it's something to do with "Polarity" and I have read somewhere that even though poly caps are bi-polar, they do sound better when orientated one way more than the other.
Is there any factual evidence for this and if so how do you determine which way round is best (other than trial and error)?

Re: Two rock custom reverb sig sounds and guts
Easiest way is to clip lead the cap to an amplifier input (turned up) and squeeze it with you fingers - switch the lead to the opposite ends and squeeze again - noisiest way means outer foil is connected to your positive clip lead. Put a stripe on that end.exocet wrote:So what's the deal with the markings on the 6PS caps?
