Hi dogears,
Just get a crappy video camera and record your speaker cab from that far off axis.
You are right of course. I was about to mention that fact but forgot

Actually I think I'm going to try the videocamera option just to see how it affects to the sound.
I see no reason, if you built your clone right, that you couldn't be in the ball park. I have two Fuchs mods and they are both killer btw. So, I know how the dogears recipe cooks up in comparison.
Dont get me wrong. I love my clone very much and I'm _very_ greatful of all the tips You've gave me during the building and tweaking. It is just that I hear more clear mid content on few Fuchs-clips (including Yours on Andys site) than on many sound samples in the forum. The A and D strings sound quite a bit more defined in Your clips than the clone of mine produces. I think that is the area I would like to have a bit of improvement.
There is also very nice 'thup' -sound in the beginning of every note, sounds nicely compressed. That might do something with the pick and string thickness and playing attack tho'. I use 011 strings and 1mm picks.
Kudos to Andy for building so many great amps!
I'll second that for sure
PS: Try a touch more negative feedback to smooth things out.....
You mean the local feedbackloop ? I have switch that chooses off,22M or 44M. I seem to prefer the 44M setting for smoothness.
DOH! You must mean the 4k7 coming from the presence pot.. I'll try 2k2+5k pot and adjust for the best tone.
Very nice sounding and playing (as always!), thanks !
