dumble/bassman faceplate layout

Post by Icetech »

Was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to mail or post their dumble/bassman faceplate file? I know if i measure the centers and make one myself, i will screw it up.. and i suck at anything graphical:)

I'm sure i can handle changing the names of pots though:)

Ice, I have a faceplate layout for a silverface AB165 Bassman. It's in VISIO 2003, my only format. , Since I can't post a .VSD file for some reason, PM me if you're still interested

Well, my laster printer doesn't print black enough, i went to the kinkos page and went through their steps, but they don't mention being able to use visio files.. or anything bout vinyl or lamination. Unless they are calling it something else... anyone that has taken a file from visio to kinkos, please gimme a clue:)

I used an inkjet on photo paper and it came out VERY black and crisp. Unfortunately, the photo paper tends to lift and peel even with several coats of urethane. My buddy Loren just used banner paper and it has a cool aged look to it, just like an old blackface.

Norm, did you use 2 pieces of paper and just match them up in the middle?

Thanks again norm.... BTW, that airstream font is ok, i thought you were talking bout that space aged one that HAD used... friggin horrible. Amazes me that people wan't to copy his amps exactly when they are butt ugly:)

I took my file on a thumb drive to Kinkos and had them print it up full size. Cost $1.55 I think. This was for the mock up before I had Amplates make me one out of brass plate.

I worked with Amplates to arrive at something I liked. He drew the thing up on a commercial graphics program (I don't remember which. Not Visio though). He then sent me a pdf for final approval. It was this pdf that I took to kinkos.

It was a ripoff of Brandon's screen job, which is a ripoff of HAD's work etc. Mine is 17" X 3". Don't ever do that small for a full feature ODS.

PM me with your e-mail and I'll send the pdf.
