New clip by Glen Kuykendall w/slide ('59 LP, '89 TW Express)
Not a live video obviously, but it's audio with slide show, pun intended. Many years ago I was in the studio and we recorded this improvised track with me on bass and Erin Conley on drums, but I never got around to recording a guitar part to it. Finally (well over a decade later) I revisited the analog tapes and kept it simple with one guitar overdub. Lot's of slide, an altered tuning, and even some controlled feedback on the bass too! Towards the end a single open A string swells into 3 part harmony with some guitar shaking for vibrato, it took quite a few takes to get that part the way I wanted it. Played my original '59 burst straight into my '89 Trainwreck Express, and I added a little reverb and tape echo during mix down. This track will be on my 2nd CD which I hope to complete in 2011. Thanks for listening!

Sounds GREAT! Really cool double-stop licks around the 3 minute mark.

Sounded Great Glen. Liked the tune. Put me on the list for the new CD.

Like this a lot. In particular I love the grind on the slide and dirty rhythm tones; much meatier than you'd typically associate with the Express.
Put me down for a new CD too!

Reminds me a lot of the slide tones on the EF86 Foxy amp by Brown Note that he did with his 335.. which is one of my favourite clips on the net so can't be bad.
I can honestly say I'm suprised how this sounds t sounds a bit bigger and fatter than I was expecting..

Get it Glen! You get a raunchy sound there and the reverb makes it all sound so airy on them single notes.
