Texas T mod question
I'm adding a texas tea mod to a standard fender type tone stack. I'm using a 3meg reverse audio pot. I've solder the .01uF cap to the middle lug. where do i go from there. I attached a pic

Re: Texas T mod question
the .01 cap connects to the first stages plate (pin 1). pin 1 on the texas tea pot connects to pin 1 on the volume pot.

Re: Texas T mod question
ok, let me try this again the .01cap connects to the #2 connector on the 3 meg pot and goes to the plate of the first tube either pin 1 or pin 6, depends on which half of the tube you ran first. Pin 1 on the 3 meg pot goes to pin 1 on the volume pot. Pin 3 on the volume pot goes to ground and pin 2 on the volume pot goes to the grid of your second stage. Pin 3 on the 3 meg pot goes to nothing. Sorry, that's what I get for trying to answer questions first thing in the morning

What is this mod, what's it do? Never heard of it, sounds like something Gerald Weber might have come up with.

Re: Texas T mod question
kinda figured it out...thank you for the help. Here's the latest birth. A single channel Deluxe type amp with the tea mod and a pre PI Master volume. Vol - TT - Treb - Mid - Bass - Master.

Re: Texas T mod question
well, how does it sound? Is it a useful mod?

Re: Texas T mod question
Is this mod useful with other types of amplifiers/tonestacks?
Or, is its usefulness limited to the standard BF EQ topography?
Thanks,
Rob
