Any opinions on the Z-Wreck so far?

They are all hand marked with numbers between 40.70 to 40.73 so I gather someone did some matching there. They don't seem like NOS to me at all since the pins are all blackened and somewhat charred. Seem like salvaged tubes to me.

On this note, can anyone kindly let me know what KF typically put in the Rockets? I heard he liked the Tungram 12AX7s and Mullard GZ34s. How about the power tubes? Thanks for your help.

I recently played through another member's Rocket built with all the appropriate parts and Saratov EL-84s. Ho-hum. Then he swapped a NOS 12ax7 into the PI and...hey, gotta get one of these!

So, I would guess that Z ships with new tubes and Brad Paisley has NOS in his. I doubt that the flooding that took out his equipment, destroyed many tubes, if any. They're nice little packages when you think about it. It's not like they were turned on when they were submerged.
