Help using larmar MV and cut control

Post by jcat5503 »

I am in the process of building a an amp
Really similar to the creme brulee from Ceriatone

I want to replace the MV with a larmar type.

I'm curious about how I can do the cut control. I know I need to replace the 220k's with the dual gang pot

Any body know? [/list]

You can wire the cut control connections like shown in the diagram. Instead of running the wires from the cut control pot to the board however, run them to the CW connections on the dual section master.

Will I still need to remove the 220k resistors?

Yes

This may help you visualize the cut control.
It simply goes across the output of the phase inverter after the coupling caps.

Yes although as you turn down the volume the cut control will thin out
