CeriaTone schematic?

Post by titanicslim »

Hi!

Just discovered the Express layout on CeriaTone's website. It looks really interesting and I'm wondering if the schemo for this variant is available here or anywhere. Is this Nik's own creation, or one that I just haven't noticed before? This one says it is the 25 June 2006 revision. Has anyone built the kit for this one, or pieced one together?

Thanks,
Dave

Believe it's Nik's creation, but a version of it has been floating around on this forum since I've been on it (mar 06?).

The layout is fundamentally correct with respect to shots of Francesca, with some known discrepencies. The bias pot is in the wrong location and there are some component value differences (such as power filter caps). Overall, tho, it is a GREAT resource for looking at the overall component placement.

Refer to Dana's (UR12) revised schematic https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?t=1408 to get the exact component values and original wiring.

Hi all, actually, Nik used the pics of Francesca and the Kelly '90 schematic when he drew it up. He used value equivalants native to his availability in Malaysia. 22uF for a 20uF for example. He sent me a copy and I sent it to Richie to check it out and he fixed the values to the original/correct ones hence, the name Richies fixed Express Layout. :D

Has anyone here actually built the ceriatone kit? I'm considering building one (although I'm gonna do a DC-30 first for my bro)...

Is there another "Rich's Fixed" layout floating around? The one I've got stilll has the 22 and 44 uf power caps, 10uf/160v smaller electrolytics (originals were 10uf/100v) caps, and the bias wired up differently.

Thanks Nik.
