6sl7 in parallel

Post by andrew »

Hi am working on a Clubman type amp with a 12ax7 wired parallel in v1, a 6sj7 in v2, and a 6sl7 at the PI, and cathode biased kt66s. It sounds good but I can't leave well enough alone. I would like to try a 6sl7 wired parallel at v1 also. The 12ax7 had a 2.2k with no bypass cap. This stage is not supposed to add much gain at all. V1 goes to the bass and treble controls then on to the 6sj7 then to a volume control. What do you think the cathode resistor should be if I parallel a 6sl7? Thanks for any advice.
