The ones I got had a shorter shaft than the typical PEC or Clarostat pots I'd been buying (RV4/53C3)
Pots can be ordered with shafts from 1/2" to 3" (16 to 96mm) long for standard models.

For anyone who hasn't already seen it, this is a fascinating article about pots:

My main reasoning for starting with Mojo was the fact that the CTS are the same size as the Bourns pots 3/8 with longer threads. Mojo has Alpha pots that are made to match those CTS pots in the 3/8 thread size and length. Works perfect for face plate amps and for me personnally as I don't like the short Alpha pots period.

If your a dealer or amp business then your cost is way lower.

Question, I was looking at an amp that used 1M linear pot where the heck do you find those?

edit: Mark, I just realized you weren't looking for PEC pots, but I'll leave this info in case someone else can use it

Here's a handy chart of NTE (PEC) part numbers, and a couple of places that carry the 1M linear, which is p/n KU1051S28:

That was another reason i went with the bourns....the longer threads. I was using the alpha with the longer thread too, and when i decided to find a better pot with long threads i came across the bourns. I use plexi for the face so they need to be pretty long.

I'm currently just doing this for myself and don't have customers or orders yet; when I'm working with those quantities then the additional order and shipping wouldn't be that big a problem anymore. I may not even find buyers for these 6 amps so I don't want to spend more than I already am.

Also, considering that a lot of people use alpha pots without a problem, I should be ok fir now. I just want to get these 6 amps And a couple of stompers done with at the moment. For the next lot, bourns it is.

There is another way to ship to you, USPS Priority Mail International
Flat Rate Envelope and can only ship maybe 50 at a shipping cost
of $16.00 otherwise the USPS Medium Flat Rate box is $46.00
but can put up to 20 lbs in the box and up to 4 lbs in the envelope
