Commercial Relay Board
I just ran across this while sourcing parts for a large school PA system my company is bidding.

Re: Commercial Relay Board
Very nicely done, but SPDT relays instead of DPDT unfortunately.

Yeah, but if you only need to switch two functions, it would work well.

Re: Commercial Relay Board
Ampdoc,
Do you or anyone else have any of the 3 relay boards hanging around?
I could really find a use for one. Have a real tight fit in a Bassman convert.
Thanx, Mike

Re: Commercial Relay Board
Sorry,
I sold my last 3-relay board about a month ago. But Moss at Brownote has contacted me about doing a revised version. We'll see what transpires.

Re: Commercial Relay Board
A new Rev? What changes do you see with this?
I like the general layout and size......great for tight spaces. The angled chassis likes this size.
Not interested in Ted's at this time.
I should have my SF Bassman wired up in the next day or two.
I have the 6-0-6 tranny placed in the back left corner, and still have to make the supply board.
In order to test and tweak, I guess I could tie off the leads and hard wire the switches while I wait for the relay board to test functions.
Thanx, keep me posted on the progress. Mike

Re: Commercial Relay Board
I might be having a batch of 2 and 3 non-perforated(break off a section ) boards made up soon, minus the supply board.

Re: Commercial Relay Board
I'm not sure what changes Moss has in mind. He's a great guy, but has a lot of things on his plate at any one time.
I'd keep the PS as part of the board. It's not expensive to add, and it makes it much more attractive to buy since it's small enough to fit almost anywhere, and only takes 2 wires in and 2 wires out to use.

Re: Commercial Relay Board
I installed Ampdoc's relay board in my D'lite.
Very high quality and laid out well.
I already had a power supply installed so I just used the three relay sections.
Very good, Very good!

Re: Commercial Relay Board
I'm not opposed to having the power supply components on the relay board.
I do have a couple 7812c's 12 volt regs in hand and one mounted, waiting for the other stuff.
I have about 2 inches between the preamp board and the pots, so things are a little tight in there.
So any of the well laid out skinny relay boards would keep the clutter factor down.

Re: Commercial Relay Board
I'll be glad to email a copy of the .pcb file I drew, so anyone can order their own boards from ExpressPCB.
This site does not allow that file type to be attached.
