I have some parts to build anp amp, and have some old builds that im gonna recycle.
One of the ideas i wanna try is a bias wiggler trem style amp. Ive been sitting on the fence between the Brown Vibrolux and the Tweed Tremolux.
With the lower voltage of the Brown, tho, 6V6's will be pretty happy, so thats the way im going.
But, with these parts i have, i want to build a similar amp for my brother. The problem is the trannie i have wil give me about 450V plate with a GZ34. Currently does in its present form.
The bias trem takes its power from what looks like the screen node. So on the Brown V/lux thats about 365V. But i think 450V is gonna be just a little hard on that tube...
I can see no reason to just take power further down the line, but want to make sure theres not some strange mojo interaction that it has with the screen current draw that makes it do its thing? Being tapped say after the PI, be ok?
Im about to start the proper voltaged V/lux, cant wait!

yeah the bias wiggle trem circuits are designed to put out a LFO voltage swing that is big enough to ride up and down the bias voltage to give the volume modulation effect. So the LFO circuit design and the type of output tubes and the amount of hot or cold bias etc affects the intensity of the slam.

IS the fact that the B+ feed comes from the screen supply, mean that there is a feedback loop contained in the power tube/ trem tube circuit?

Got another Q. With the Brown V/lux 6G11-A, I want to take just the trem channel in my build. Where the 2 channels are mixed into the PI input via a pair of 220k R's, i can just delete the 220k cant I? It aint doing anything attenuation wise? I recall reading this same question regarding the rocket.
Without the ground reference, theres no divider so little attenuation.
Its only purpose was to separate the 2 signals right?

Not really - because the screen node is decoupled with a filter cap. if you do that you might get some feedback from the other 'side'/channel interferring with the signal a bit (due to the signal now going 'into' the plate of the other side possibly causing that stage to act as a 'brake'??), but heck, give it a try. Sorry brother, i meant i want to build this amp but only single channel, the trem side. Will have an on/off switch on the depth pot. As i see it mixing R's are just there for that purpose yeah? Just remember a reason why Ken kept that R on the rocket, but dont recall why.
