Vote For My Son Michael

Post by mclmk8d »

My son decided he was going to try the Play Crossroads Contest sponsored by Ernie Ball. He came up with some instrumentals, did all the guitar and bass work, and recorded the drum parts using some software. He is working on a fourth to add to his entry.
If you can all register, and then vote for him, and like Chicago politics, you can vote early and vote often...actually, you can vote everyday.
He surprises me sometimes and I actually really like the pieces he put on there. The 4th one is actually a really nice solo that his is waiting for a former band member to do the lyrics...she is a pretty good singer.

Thanks in advance...Serge

You had me on board until this stupid and needless comment...Then again you likely wouldn't want "my kind" to vote for your kid anyway.

Stow that shit- particularly when you are pandering for your kid!!
Does your mother know you talk that way??

First, I am extremely proud of my son; he is smart, talented, and a real good, kind-hearted person. It is out of pride that I posted this.

Second, get a sense of humor; it was my oldest friend in the world, who lives in Chicago, that suggested that line. It wasn't meant to offend. As a history teacher, I've read about Chicago politics; that line, as famous as it is, does have a ring of truth to it.

A quick couple of things
1) Michael has been playing less than 6 years...it's his love and passion
2) What does "my kind" mean anyway? I'd be happy to listen to your explanation of that usage in your post.

No offence but If it were my son I would only stated "vote if you feel the need to, if you think he is so deserving", ie., on his merit.

No one is questioning the pride you have in your son.

People may have taken offence to you stating "vote for my son" you are telling everyone who to vote for.

I do not know the OP and do not have a dog in the fight but...
If it was my son I would not have posted at all. I teach my kids to stand on their own two feet. I am sure everyone may have a different opinion , so be it. But lay off this dude. He felt it was cool to do. The Mods must have thought it was cool as they let this thread "live" this long. And what "people" ? One person with 6 posts complained? He doesn't even live in Chicago, I do and I am proud of it...even as screwed up and crooked as our politics may be This is still one of the greatest cities on Earth.
Oh and if you took offense at this thread keep it to yourself...and another thing ...What in the Hell does any of this have to do with Trainwreck Amps?????

My bad for this thread being here...I just realized there is a general thread...I post here because I have a Rocket Clone, and I love the information available from the esteemed members.
Allyn, please move to the general thread...thanks
