We only got the Sozo header imagine on that link. Are you going with the regular Sozo caps or there blue mold type?
I have never used the Jupiter caps aren't they HiFi use mostly?

Re: 5F6-A builders
When the Jupiter caps first came on the scene they got very good reviews.
I know a guy with a guitar parts website that was selling them.
A while back, not sure how long ago, he stated on his website that Jupiter had changed the manufacturing.
Whether that means they outsourced the production or what but he said the quality was poor and he stopped selling them.
I have heard good things about the Sozo's, the Marshall guys love them and the new blue caps are supposed to be good as well.
We need to support these small guys that make cool products rather than send the money to China.

Re: 5F6-A builders
The Sozo vintage mustards are my cap of choice. They take a while to break in though. Plus, their yellow!
Re: 5F6-A builders
Well hell ya yellow beats blue but orange, now that is the way to go.
Re: 5F6-A builders
Yes, I plan on using the Blue Molded caps for this build. Jupiter does have Astron replicas. Other than the HC reviews, I hadn't heard much about them. I know the quality of the Sozos, I've used them in other builds.M Fowler wrote:We only got the Sozo header imagine on that link. Are you going with the regular Sozo caps or there blue mold type?

The blue mold would be an interesting test and I would suspect would be a great way to go in this build. A two 12inch tweed cabinet right, since you already have a nice four 10 inch Bassman
Hey good time to steal your thread. Where can I get a tweed cabinet the size of the Bassman with 212 cutout

This is what Paul @ Specialty Guitars had to say about the Jupiters.
Due to issues with consistency and supply, we will no longer be stocking Jupiter Vintage Tone capacitors.

Re: 5F6-A builders
Are you looking for a cabinet that is the same size as a bassman but with a baffle board for 2-12? If so Mojo will do it for you. I had them build me a 4-10 combo cabinet for my jtm45ri.M Fowler wrote:Hey good time to steal your thread. Where can I get a tweed cabinet the size of the Bassman with 212 cutout![]()
Would a tweed twin cabinet work? Might only need the chassis cutout to be different.

Mojo over charges for shipping I will go ebay or some other vendor, thanks though.
Have you tried.....
...JD Newell? I got a 4X10 Fender Concert repro from him and it was perfect.
He'd probably do what you want.

Re: 5F6-A builders
I found these CORNELL DUBILIER film and foil caps at Newark Electronics.
http://www.newark.com/cornell-dubilier/ ... tt=66K5045 CD makes the Mallory 150s, so I'm thinking these real polyester film and foil caps with be closer to the old Astrons. I'm going to use these in my 5f6a build for the .02 values, and some real Blue Molded .1uf caps I have for the rest of the signal path (don't have any blue moldeds in the .02). I also found an original NOS "domino" 250pf for the treble cap from Allesandro (scroll down) http://www.alessandro-products.com/main.php?p=parts
Can't wait to hear how it all sounds.
