Tag rules!
Let's make a deal - I think Tap's clips are valuable because they are a great benchmark or yardstick to compare against even if you are not trying to duplicate his tone, The sustain, tonality vs. pick pressure, low end fizz etc. are all helpful areas to use for comparison, even if your build sounds better than his amp. SO if Tag post just said something like:
"Happy Newyear everyone, The Dumble has No LNFB on V1, and
6ps series caps on the output tube grids. Here is a brand new clip of the Dumble, and it sounds sweet as anything.
http://www.soundclick.com/player/single ... i&newref=1
VERY STRAINY! Very Happy"
Would that be OK and not get everyone up in arms?

Im glad IM a non egotistical Drummer.
Re: Tag rules!
I'm curious about what all the front panel contols are set to on that clip.
Is the drive past, say, 2 o'clock? What are the volume and master on? ect...

Re: Tag rules!
As long as it's only capable of 95% of the world's most exquisite tone, then we have room to work, no?

I am not going to get into a discussion about what is acceptable and what isn't. The fact is that Tag knows what he is doing and he does it on purpose and then plays the innocent like he doesn't understand. He has been warned twice now. There will not be a third warning.
Re: Tag rules!
Ahh!!I will not post close up pics and stats of all my amps insides. Will you do that with your amps? Of course not.
Early on Henry would post very detailed Pictures.. Layouts.. And Schematics w/ Voltages and clips.. He has been one of the most open builders here as far as sharing all his info.. Back when I started posting here not many would share any info I requested being a manufacturer accept Henry ALWAYS offered up.. Thanks Henry!!! and Scott!!.. Happy New Years Everyone!!

Re: Tag rules!
Thanks.
Re: Tag rules!
Its not a question of sharing. If you don't want to share I understand that. It's the " I have something you don't and I'm not gonna share it" that is unacceptable!
If you don't want to share...FINE but don't wave it in our faces and tell us we can't have it.

I think he puts a schematic on every amp he makes...Tag wrote:And now he will not, (see his earlier post in this or the other thread) and I do not balme him one bit.talbany wrote:Ahh!!I will not post close up pics and stats of all my amps insides. Will you do that with your amps? Of course not.
