Dumble Homepage?

Post by Alexo »

Hey everyone, nice to meet you!

I've been looking around the net and I can't seem to find a homepage for Dumble Amps, is it too exclusive a company that the models aren't to be trodden out before just anybody or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Anybody got a link?

Thanks!

Elusive is more the correct answer. Alexander only builds for a very small and exclusive group of players these days. No need for a web presence when you already have your market.

Yes, I have it from reputable sources that he still builds a few amps. The health problems are also true.

If the Angel's Breath thing is true, it's a takeoff of the name of an amp I used to build when I knew him back in the '70s. I grew up in Catholic Schools and I called this little solid state screamer "Nun's Breath". There was nothing sweet about it. Good on him as far as I'm concerned, I got more out of him than he ever got out of me. I know Brandon knows folks personally that have had less than wonderful relationships with Alexander but he was a great guy back in the early '70s when I knew him.

Don't get me wrong, Everyone says the same things: VERY friendly and personable, intelligent, elloquent, well-spoken.........and can come up with more lame excuses as to why he hasn't built your gear than anyone has ever heard of!!

As far as I know my buddy is still waiting for his cab...20 years, $1000, and 4 Original G12H's later.

It took years, but Jackson Browne finally kicked him out of his house.

I'll tell you one thing for sure, he was pretty hard on my playing. I don't imagine he'd build another for me. As it was he didn't want his name anywhere on it. It wasn't a scratch build. It was a gutted and rewired Fender Rhodes amp.
