Yes ---

I've seen the Doug Hammond Meteor circuit. I believe there is room for a little improvement. The Circuit and his site are currently dead links though.

Where does the "Voice" of this amp come from? The tone stack? The level of gain in each stage?

Boy that is a complicated question. It comes from the super beefy transformers, the gain stages, the power supply voltage and filtration, the NFB, the Marshally tone stack, the tube rectifier, the phase inverter, and the sheer power of the beast through a good 4X12" half stack.

There is a site someone turned me onto just last week that has been archiving almost every website for the last 4 years or so. It's called "wayback machine" http://www.archive.org/web/web.php. Just fantastic!!!!!

His old homepage:

OK I like the clips but may change a few things. I'll let you guys and gals know how it goes in a new thread so I don't pirate this thread any more.

I notice an "Asteroid" is in the 'For Sale or Trade' area, with a link to some very good clear pictures. Might be the sort of thing we want to archive? I know I have already!

Whatever became of bnwtt's artwork? There's diddly on here now and I'm crushed. Did he take his toys & go home following that wimpy bitchfest with Funk a while ago? Dammit I even PM'd him back then to no avail...

Galtjunk,
I was asked to remove my layout from this thread some time ago. You should probably remove it from your post. Just FYI

Noel,
buddy, I respond to every PM on this board (and many others) and graciously send whatever is requested. So, your remark is surprising to me. I believe I've shared with you in the past as well. At least my wimpy (hmm, I thought it was rather aggressive and in your face not wimpy) bitchfest broke loose some pictures and additional info on the dumble for everyone in here and that was my intention. So, you're welcome for that as well. I spend hours drawing layouts for lots of different amps and spread them across the net for nada. What an ass am I huh? Or at least that is how you just depicted me in your post. :( Et tu Brute?
