THEY'RE HERE!

Finally!

I hope somebody here buys some to test them out.

I don't have the scratch right now to afford it but I am excited by the news.

What is that about $30? :x

Hi guys...

Just for the reference - US sellers are no way better.
I was checking out a small transformer set on Ebay...
the transformers were 110 $, and shipping was 180$ to Europe!

International shipping has gone through the roof the last ears, as most postal services, USPS largely included, have dropped the good old surface parcel post. It often took a month to get there, but the price was fairly cheap. Now we are left with the freight cannibals like DHL, UPS etc.
Some of them charge me close to 100$- more or less just to stamp the customs papers......

46.39 GBP = 76.0447 USD
United Kingdom Pounds United States Dollars
1 GBP = 1.63925 USD 1 USD = 0.610036 GBP

The exchange rate is way better than it was when I was there 2 years ago. then 1 GBP + .48 USD so I thought it would be around $100 for the tube but I was wrong.

I must have used an outdated currency calculator.

I still would like to try one of those tubes. Maybe a US supplier will pick them up.

If you can't do it with just a tele and a champ you might as well give up.

There are so many people out there risking investments into the "new and improved".
Unless it really is vastly superior in tone, stability, durability, than the better
7025 and 12ax7's you know and love. I'd rather be frustrated at a $10 tube
than blow a wad on an $80 product you have no clue about.

They might might have done better to buy the E-mail list of forum members
and offer the product for us to review (rigorously test).

Check out this link. www.noteworthyaudio.co.uk/Heathrow_09_2008.html

There is an exploded view comparison photo of the guts of a 12AX7 (left) vs. E813CC (right).

Back in stock as of a few minutes ago.
I wonder if the "Box" gives more shielding to the elements than the conventional design :?
From a design standpoint, It certainly is appealing to look at 8)

Just in from Blackburn:
"Hi there,

Last Wednesday saw the launch of the TechTube™ valve web shop to allow us to assess the final release of the e-commerce site. We are now fully ready with the first true valve development in over 40 years to allow the general public to get their hands on the product so you too can hear the fantastic improvements in tone, speed and creamy smoothness.

Giving a superior listening experience we have engineered unbeatable sound reproduction. With their state of the art design, improved life performance, and superb sound development the valves excel with speed of response and sensitivity. TechTube™ valves deliver on every level.

Having undertaken testing in HiFi audio systems, guitar amplifiers and professional recording equipment, all come back with the same response, WOW!! The improvement in tone, clarity, and lack of background noise has to be heard to be believed but don’t take our word for it. The new web site has quotes from the people who have tested the valves and also video footage so you can hear the valves in action.

From the shop you can buy either standard valves or matched triode versions. We aim to please, so shipping from our factory here in Blackburn right through to your door, where ever that may be in the world is taken care of, even the duty payment to get it through Customs. Through every step of the buying process you are kept informed and even when you have placed your order we email you to let you know how things are progressing.

Some of the very first valves bought have now been received by Customers and they have started to play with them. As is the world of the internet, blog reports are already coming through every day. Look into diyAudio and GearPage to read the latest entries.

From all in the TechTube™ team @ Blackburn"
