Power Transformer and output transformers

So, I am pretty new to the whole building/re-building of amps and really just wanted a new project in my life (heh, like I don't have enough going on). I recently purchased a Dumble ODS chassis from a guy on eBay who said he got from a guy off this forum. Very nice chassis, I might add. It came with some eyelet boards for creating a Dumble like amp. After reviewing the schematics and all the notes I could get my hands on, I decided I should probably try something a little less ambitious. So I bought a Silverface Twin chassis with the hopes of experimenting with some of the Dumble mods to get going.

Ok so that's where I'm at right now. I have techinician experience and have certification with soldering and the such but not a lot of in building/re-building amps. Honestly, don't think I will have many issues but would love to get some advice.

I also have blown up Mesa Boogie Mark IV that I recently took apart for pieces. Anyone know what the wiring color codes might be for a Mesa EIA 606-228 power transformer or an EIA 606 313 output transformer?

markIV has that simu-class circuit the scheme looks like an ultralinear tranny
but hooks to the plates of two differnt pairs of tubes opperating under differnt
conditions...... you might have to visually trace the circuit to the tube plates

Jump right in and build your Dumble clone. It's less hassle. If you don't have a mix 'n' match piecemiel pile of crap (which is how most modded Twins end up) it should be a simple matter of making your parts match the clear and abundant layout drawings here.

Of course you could use the Schematic Heaven mods as an example. Case in point, though... using information available here you could be some guy in Malaysia who has never seen a Dumble for instance... and you could still achieve acceptable results.

I hadn't really thought about the simulclass bit. Then again, it wasn't like I went out and bought the thing, just thought I could put it to good use. Thanks for the tip, I am going to hyave to sit down with some shcematics and figure out what tap goes to which plate of which tube. Thought would ask the friendly neighborhood tone junkies if they had ever played with one of these before.

I was so happy to find the layout and drawings around this forum. Not only has the diligence of all the members been a God send, it kind of made me worry about whether I was biting off more than I could chew. I actually got the Twin for a song - purchased a 79 Vibro Champ from a guy here in St. Louis for $150, sold it on eBay for $300 then sold my Mark IV footswitch for another $65 and bought the Twin for $365 (so the Twin cost me $150 and a footswitch I wasn't going to use).

I haven't been able to find any part listings, any preferred output and power transformers for Dumbles? I have been seeing Jorgensens on eBay but truth be told don't know much about the brands. Saw someone on the forum really excited about his Peerless.

So I should just rob the Twin...nice! Hey, how is Alameda doing these days? I was stationed at NSC Oakland back in the late '80s. There was a neat Thin Man Strings shop on the main drag there. Traded my Chapman Stick for an electric/acoustic...man I made some stupid moves in my day.
