Re: Commercial ventures
I have noticed this too. When will Chime Boss start pulling his weight?Actually Chimeboss has never contributed anything to this forum but a smug elitist attitude
If you talk the talk, you have to walk the walk. In fact if Chime was smart he could have introduced a new model to his range.
Perhaps Chime Boss should declare his own commercial self interest? How many tweakers here have used the Trainwreck legacy to enhance their business building amps?
Personally, if I was still running the show (as I did during the Yahoo Twreck pages days) Chime Boss would be getting his marching orders!!!
Chime Boss wake up to yourself, enough is enough!
Yours Sincerely

Re: Commercial ventures
For those of you who don't remember, there were two members here named Reingold and Rocket. They kept teasing people who were looking for TW info. Three years ago I got into it with one of them (I can't remember which) saying that I would post some info if I could find it. One (don't remember which) said "Good luck a$$hole...you'll never find anyone who will give you pictures". A month or so later, I stumbled upon Francesca thanks to another member here (Jon) and HeeBGB and I documented the amp and posted everything here. They started attacking us online and IIRC, Omar banned them both. A week later, Chimeboss signed up and took up where he left off before he was banned under the other name. I believe that Brewbeck (recently banned from TGP) and Chimeboss are the same. After his TGP banishment, he shows up here. I believe also his initials are GS
My advice...ignore him he'll go away again. If he gets out of line, he'll add this place to the list of places he is not welcome.

Now that is funny!dartanion wrote:I figured out who CB is....
Follow these steps and he will be revealed:
Go to the member list and sort by username, then find the page with CB on it and look at the number next to his nickname. Page 14
Re: Commercial ventures
It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I think that it is in many respects a tribute to Mr.Fischer and his creativity that so many have chosen to use his designs as a template to build their own amp. Having that type of influence is quite a legacy in my humble opinion.

Allyn,
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the unselfish, sharing attitude you always exhibit in this forum. Without you the Asteroid layout would not have been possible. You have always been a real benevolent king of tube amp information sharing and don't hold anything back. Obviously the quality of your amp work is so stellar that it stands on its own rather than needing close kept secrets in order to sell. You have earned the respect of everyone in here and I am thankful you have inherited this forum. Leo Fender is one of my dearest loved heroes because of his personal ethics and sharing nature. You are fast becoming another. Cheers buddy

Re: Commercial ventures
Here"s another clue for you all
Thw walrus was Paul
Wow what paranoia!
I asked the question because Ken gave his blessing to the home builders who wanted to make an amp for themselves and learn from the process.
In fact a number of people here have shared this knowledge and know that he didnt want people to take his sharing to the "street" as it were
Its sad that a lot of you folks angrily defend your undefined position when you know damn well how Ken felt about commercial cloning.

I'm doing well. I already replaced my test equipment, bought a new truck and boat. I'll start paying off my vacation home next. I never thought it would be so easy. I wish I would have thought of ripping someone off earlier.

I can only assume this is a do as I say, not a do as I do thing.when you know damn well how Ken felt about commercial cloning.
Chime Boss, the Rocket is a rip off of an AC-30. Hard to cry foul of a crime you yourself have committed!
As far as making money from all of this, I'm actual down cash building stuff to provide guidance for the group.
Chime Boss have a good read of your past posts, very little content there!
Perhaps it is time you hung up your cue here.
BTW, No pananoia here, don't care who you think you are. I've just had enough of a guy with a big mouth and not much else to back it up, again have a look at your own words, it's all there.
Yours Sincerely
