Cool! I was going to ask what knobs Ken used and if they were still available! Thanks for pointing those out! They do look good.
Oh, and as for your bias warmer question.
In My Humble Opinion, use your ears to guide you, use the Meter to keep you in check.
Does that make sense?
I dialed my TW in by ear because I loaned out my Meter to a friend, and I couldn't find my Weber Bias Rite. Turns out, I was perfectly within range once I got the meter back and tested it. I tried higher and lower, but my ears brought me right where it should be.
Trust your ears.

Absolutely ! but on the first startup of the Express, I had no idea what to expect soundwise ; now that I have played with it a bit, I can more easily tweak it.Lonely Raven wrote:Oh, and as for your bias warmer question.

Yeah, except for Glen's videos, I had no idea what a TW sounds like. And mine doesn't sound ANYTHING like Glen's. In fact, it's so loud it scared the crap out of me...I've just been doing clean playing on it so far since I'm in an apartment and can't really CRANK it like it's meant to be cranked.

Those 35 watts seem to go an awful long way.Lonely Raven wrote:In fact, it's so loud it scared the crap out of me...
The one that always gets me is the Liverpool. That little row of EL84s looks so innocuous until you get the gain up around 1 o'clock and hit an A power chord!
