Dumble 201

Post by bschifke »

I was just doing some reading on dumble amps and found that the dumble ODS 201 is actually for sale on reverb. There are quite a few reasonable photos on the chassis (some blue goop still present) if anybody is interested

Would this be a bluesmaster? Is it possible to tell?

Don't think so.

PI has 820R/24K/390R with 4K7 GNFB.

221K bias splitters

110K and 121K (I think) on the PI plates

Looks like an HRM Skyline.. probably high-plate based on the 22K V1a grid but that's pure speculation without being able to do actual measurements.

A quick and dirty way to tell is? the cap across the bass pot. If it's not there then it's not a
Skyliner it's a Bluesmaster stack

189 Ripper and Tremonti 221 uses the same CGW-MF 22.1K RN65C on V-1

Great looking pictures, and one of the few Dumbles that apparently hasn't been messed with. But, it seems to be my least favorite circuit and a bit on the expensive side, so I'll pass. Thanks for sharing!

i love how much you guys know about these amps, thank you for explaining. the cap on the bass pot being a skyline change was something i just recently read! good to have it reinforced!
