Following belongs on the "soap box" corner if we had one.

10 years ago George Dubya Bush made a speech in which he explained "we gotta let them (undocumented foreigners) into the country to do the jobs Americans don't want to do." At that time there were average 70,000 individuals caught each month crossing into USA illegally (a mere 840,000 per year), and given court appearance tickets, none of 'em ever showed up for their immigration hearings, funny thing about that. And that's just the ones that got caught, how many more didn't. Looks like ol' George had his way, with the number fluctuating of course but still up there. If that's not enough, our new arrivals know how to game our system with anchor babies making them impossible to remove. Here's a medal for ya Dubya, yer a goddam hero, really saved the country.

Around here, NY 75 miles north of Manhattan, customers of mine looking for work have run across some odd situations: kitchen and building labor crews, all Spanish speaking, who will not cooperate with, or even speak to a new hire who happens to be an English speaking US citizen. Needless to say the citizen loses his new job within days, and is replaced with someone more compatible with the crew. I have a feeling these are not isolated events. Sing along now "ain't that America..."

The most recent new job reported by any of my customers, a young fellow in his early/mid 20's, now scratching up a little bread as a guitar teacher in a situation I recommended he look into.

I understand Arizona's getting in trouble for trying to do something about it. Good luck to 'em.

What a story, I thought that ‘Breaking Bad’ was a pure fiction
One thing I appreciate is that some guys like him can be capable of testifying of their actions in the face of the broadcast camera. Even if their actions were really bad.
I remember in the ‘80s when I was working in the Press, a white guy drug addict in NYC (Harlem area, 183e) gave me a similar testimony, he said ‘write my story for those who could took out this shit’.
I never encounter another country where I was able to get this kind of story… God bless America...
