Sad News about UK's Doug Wilkes workshop - Fire

Post by John_P_WI »

Master Luthier Doug Wilkes suffered a fire in his workshop last week. What tremendous resolve he demonstrates in the video linked below. If I'm not mistaken he lost most of his fixtures and may not be covered financially... IF any of you UK brethren have any more info please post.

That is a bummer.

Unfortunately, a wood work shop is full of combustibles.

From sawdust to lacquer.

Good luck to him and those affected by the loss.

Full of combustibles and an uncontrolled flame. I feel badly for him. On the good side, the place and it's contents don't look completely destroyed. At least from the video.
