The list
1. Todd Rundgren - as musical director for many hollywood films and tv he just shills his own worn out shit.
2. Rick Rubin - Deaf American
3. Neil Young - Nice song. Shut up so I can hear someone good play it. Thanks.
4. John Oram - The father or modern eq? Yes. Very modern. A self-bestowed moniker issued at least a quarter century before Behringer made their first product.
Please don't invite me to drinking parties where any of these people might make an appearance. Add Jason Beaver 'cause I think everyone is adding him, right? Does he sing that soul sister song? Eeesh

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Re: The list
Ok - if we are creating a list...
Let's get all the lawyers & politicians on there.
Car salesmen & realtors deserve a mention.
And Bill Gates.
And Fartblossom Bill.
And the French.
This is too easy.
Off with their heads.

Re: The list
Ok, now, not to get picky, but, how big a group is "us"?
Re: The list
If you have to ask.....you're not part of "us"
Re: The list
Great Idea HB - shorter list !
Everyone not shutting up & sitting down.
And not asking.

I don't pay much 'tension to what these folks are up to as far as mass entertainment & like that BUT I gotta put in a word or 2 of defense for Todd. Having worked with him briefly, twice, in the early 2000's. When he gets in front of the crowd, he gives 'em all he's got. And afterwards, enjoy an oil can of Fosters and a slug of Bushmills - which he does share with those interested (back then, me). I'm no Todd-head, don't know every one of his songs etc etc but I did find him a 100% good for-real guy to work with.
Now Justa Beever, there's a big who-cares. His 15 minutes of fame was over 6 years ago as far as I'm concerned.

Jensen Berber is the performer of our time!
The best thing Rundgren ever did was Steven Tyler's girlfriend.. lmao that cracked me up. Come on. Laugh.
I am surprised he's let me live this long, him and Oram.

Re: The list
Todd is definitely a big disappointment in (my) (nostalgic) later years. I was in my mid-teens when he was all over the radio - I loved his stuff. A year or so ago, I was in a nostalgic mood and thought about him. So I took a virtual trip over to the iTunes store in search if a "best of" collection. I never owned any of his LPs in the 70's, so I was only familiar with his radio hits. I was very disappointed to learn (on iTunes) that he only had about three hits!

Re: The list
Well, I like Todd Rundgren's music (most of it). I saw him with Utopia (back in the day) and it was a great performance. They left it all on the stage (3.75 metric hours, including the encores).
A few years ago I picked up a live performance DVD recorded in Japan. It wasn't Utopia. And it wasn't the high caliber Rundgren show I witnessed. So, a sub-standard Todd performance that, unfortunately, may give folks (who only know him by that DVD and his radio hits) the wrong impression of all he has to offer (which is considerable).
As for Rick Ruben …… I don't know him personally ……. but I like the corned-beef and sauerkraut sandwiches named after him.

We used to come in from gigs and I would beg the TV to give me at least one sweet hour of Robert Tilton.
