Paisley using trainwrecks on Letterman

Post by AmpegSVT »

Did anyone see the two trainwrecks Brad Paisley had on Letterman last night. They looked brand new.

Thanks for posting that. I'm not a fan of country music, but Brad's chops can't be denied by a guitarist of any persuasion!

The look original to me. The new ones are finished differently and these have more 'sheen'.

My opinion, anyway.

Yup!

You can also see the faceplate is a different shade, indicative of its original status. Sounds like he's using the Rocket to me. What do you guys think?

Found another from the same day. The View, featuring Brad Paisley and four screaming, multi cultural hens and Trainwrecks! Skip the first vid, unless you love hearing Brad Paisley and the hens speak. Second one is the performance.

I think I read in a recent guitar mag interview that he's sporting a Rocket and a Liverpool. No love or mention of the Doc however, not cool Brad.

He was using the rocket. What bothers me is that the tone of that amp is being hurted by using the wireless and then run with some effects in front. Yuck!! Not representative of the way a rocket sounds with a guitar plugged-in using a good cable.

And both amps are ken Fisher built by the way, Marcy rocket on the left and Hattie Mae Liverpool on the right.

Thanks for that information. I was wondering if the effects were in front or done a smarter way.

I saw him last night at the PNC bank art centre from what I could tell (19th row left stage) he had a Cherry cab Z-Wreck two Z 2X12's a small Z 1X2 combo (I Think Z28) and a Marshall 4X10 Combo. His tone was great.

He did play a strat on a few songs and I would put money on it that there was a Bruno Cow Tipper Back sage. It was black face heaven.
