There's a pretty big lie in that ad. Ingrid is the most modified Wreck ever. She's since been restored, but Ken voided her warranty. She's said to be incredibly dark sounding and not typical of an un molested Wreck. Poor girl.

I thought it looked kind of fishy. I'll be travelling to London on business this summer, so thought I would take a look at the musical instruments section on craigslist. Also, on that list were a several tweed Fenders, including 1959 and 1960 Bassman. Not sure if the pics were lifted from somewhere else, but looks like the real deal.

If you could get an 59 Bassman at a reasonable price, probably about as good an investment as any with the added benefit of being a lot more fun than typical investments.

Thanks

I like this one best. It is very Marshall. It sounds more like gritty '71 50w. Smooth. I have never hear anyone wail on it though, just clank.

Has anyone seen the inside of this amp since it was fixed?
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

I do tend to like that darker compressed tone as well... Not all the time, but there's a time for everything. One Wreck owner in particular had some pretty bad things to say about Ingrid.

Aren't the pics that we've all seen after the restoration?

Maybe you haven't seen inside Ginger, that has same or more hot glue.
