Pablo its Always a pleasure seeing your amps and layouts. One day I'm gonna build an amp from one of your layouts .Instaed of just cobblefucking things together as i go.
I'm working on an Express. Sorry if it looks like I'm highjacking this thread but, is there some kind of "etiquete" regarding naming clones? I'm not sure if the correct thing would be calling it Paulus Express (which is what it is) or some other name...
Converted a Rocket I built a few years ago using rjguitar chassis, Pacific transformers and solid state recto for Bass use for my daughter.
For now I just changed out the tone caps to .047 and .1 so we can hear some thumping. I really should increase the cathode bypass cap to something crazy like 250uf I suppose.
Running EL34's in cathode bias.

I'll bite on the TW precision power supply board layout...although the "talent" part might be arguable!
I have been recently laying out and etching my own pedal power supply boards with very good results. Definitely homegrown/DIY flavor...but they all seem to work just fine.
Could someone provide me with a recommended manufacturer and line of HV caps to design it around?
Cheers,
Dave O.

I had an hour to kill this afternoon and I just couldn't resist!
Kind of a "working man's" PS filter board using readily available Nichicons and Xicon metal oxide resistors.
View perspective is looking into the chassis with the control panel at the top.
Odd...I just noticed that the Xicon MO resistors that I have been using for all these years are only rated to 350V! I have never seen one fail in the dozen or more builds that I have used these in. Some as high as 475VDC!
Have I been missing something for all these years?
Cheers,
Dave O.
