It blinks witht the rate of the tremolo.I just had it in there when I was troubleshooting to make sure the oscillator was working. The regualur cathode resistor and bypass cap are in there now.
That LED would be cool on the front panel if I had a way to make it stop blinking when the tremolo is off.I

Ok guys I took the tremolo out.It wasn't as great as I let on.I have several other amps that do it better.

I tried RJ's gain stage http://www.rjguitars.net/Rocket_Booster.html

It sounded incredibly shrill .I've done some things to roll of treble .Plate bypass cap,Playing with coupling caps.Lower gain tubes etc.but I'm finding no love.

Perhaps I just should leave good enough alone ?

Did you just create the trem circuit from your own design or did you base it off something else?

I used the 6G3 trem.It was ok.It worked good besides a little thumpin when both controls maxed. But like I said I have other amps that do trem better.

I really like the Idea of having more gain by turning a knob and having the amp back to stock by turining the knob to zero I just can't get it to sound good.

Update. The rocket booster is sounds good now"I'm not sure why.I did change out the coupling caps and switch the layout up a little. ANd added a plate bypass cap.I think the booster sounds really good now.I have an extra hole now I'm thinking MV.

I still haven't got a pilot lite for it.
