If you don't get a warning here I think it is the host is infected and infecting all hosted images. The exploit can use jpg png pdf and several other common image file times.

Google sucks too. ;)

This is getting old having to get a warning all the time.

It's a bit unsettling since I spent about a week recently ridding my computer of Malware.
Tom, not be accusatory, but it could have came from you as well. Back when your pc was infected, it could have used your machine as host to access the database since you do have some form of admin rights. I think one would start with whoever maintains the forum database.

The sad thing is - it could unknowingly be any of us.
We rely on technology that very few people understand.
The people writing spyware/malware code should be put to the sword.

Mike, I thought about that but the day I got the alert I was infected, I started cleaning my PC.

That was several weeks ago and I'm positive my PC is clean.
This warning only started popping up just a few days ago.

After I got the warning I scanned my PC with several programs, even in Safe Mode and my scans were clean.

I sincerely hope my PC did not infect the site but I'm pretty sure it didn't.

It could be a simple false positive that Google and Chrome alert to.

I lost faith in AVS years ago. I find the best ways to remove crud is either regedits or as a last reort, reimaging.

Not to disagree but isn't the best thing to do is not get infected in the first place?

I'm pretty sure I got the junk from TC Electronics, on a Tone Print download.

From what I have read on the Google site, the administrator (Allyn) needs to take steps and contact the host, which is BlueHost.

Yes, the best way to do that is not connect to the world outside your home :D,
stopping the crud at the first layer is the most effective. My point was that after and time again finding crud that AVS does not detect, stating the PC is clean, I don't trust them without a reimage.

Some of these codes are not that elaborate, it's simple really.......find the vulnerability and exploit it.

No, I am pretty sure it's Tom.

:P

It seems the people who are getting an alarm are the people on Chrome and that all the host served images are flagged.

The host is flagged, and images can be exploits. There is no infection. Did any Chrome user get an alarm on this page from my image? It's served and hosted from photobucket.

Loosen your OT screws and shift it around until you receive the least warnings then screw it back down tight. If this doesn't do it, you might need to chopstick around inside your computer until you find the wire causing Chrome to freak out, or maybe you have your image secondaries swapped.

^ that is Martin's advice.. probably, I just left out all the technical stuff.

My anti-virus came up with nothing...
But I think google have sussed that I have a 5751 in V1 of my Express.
They don't want such disgraceful behavior to spread.
Sorry !

I've seen this warning before from TAG. Months ago. I tend to use Firefox so it's just Chrome that's doing the silliness. I turned off the phishing filter because that warning was annoying!

Also I agree, Tom did it.
