5V rectifier heater output doubled-relay pwr?

Post by pula58 »

Let's say you have a power tranny with a rectifier heater 5V output but you have no tube rectifier in the amplifier ( cause you are using semiconductor diodes to rectify). So, you have this un-used 5V high curren tap.

Could you voltage double it, and then use it to power some relays?

(5V * 1.414 - Vdiode) * 2 ~ 12.74V ?

Thanks!

You can choose also Omron G6H2 that work at 5V, they are pretty good.
