Wire gage again

I've searched, and found varying info.

But to sum up. 20 gage is pretty much ok for all wiring in an amp, except maybe for the heaters, if there are many tubes.

But would you say that 20 gage is ok for plates, cathodes, signal etc. And maybe go for 18 gage for the heaters?

That sounds fine, Tommy -- and happens to be what I use in my amps. You could actually go 22 for just about everything, except the heaters. Also, MANY amp manufacturers use 20 AWG for the heaters, since the wire runs are so short inside most amps, such that voltage drop that would result from using a smaller wire gauge would not be a problem.

FWIW Belden PTFE 20AWG is rated at 24 amps @ 105 degreed celcius, and rated to 15 amps as a twisted pair,

I use 18 awg on the 4 power tubes and 20 awg on the preamp tubes, that way if I decide to stick EL34's in and play outdoors on a 100 Degree day with a space heater pointed at the chassis I'm still safe!

I sell more 20 Awg than any other Awg for amp wiring
and I suspect you'll be fine and its also hard to keep
Green 18 Awg in stock too (for heaters)
