Guitar Tokai ls-150 GT, speakers g12h30 55hz, i done this mod about 6 months ago & haven't opened the amp since, but it was something like my #36 mod.

Seems to have more gain and less bass than the stock circuit? How did you handle the ghosting (if that's not a trade secret)?

I love my 45/100, but i'm not fond of the ghosting. Still, i'm not prepared to raise the filtering, as the amp sounds great otherwise.

Thanks Charlie i haven't changed the filtering, & never had any ghosting problems, maybe you should try new filter caps & see if it helps.

Thanks for the tip! There's only one NOS filter cap in my build (a 32uF@450v Erie at the preamp), the rest are new RIFA's. Will have to try to replace the NOS one, which might be the trouble-maker. It's funny - some people say they never had ghosting problems with these amps, but some seem to fight it forever without successfully finding neither the cause nor the remedy.

No probs, best to change one at a time & see if you can find the bad one, how loud do you turn your amp up?

I run it through a hotplate on -8 or -12 db and i use it between about 5-6 for clean/semi-clean tones and then various degrees of dirt up to 10 (Hi bright channel). I usually back up a bit from full blast, as at some point there is just too much stuff going on (great for solos though). I feel like 7-8 is a "sweet spot", as i can get nice cleans when playing gently, but i can get it really nasty, if i dig in hard - great dynamics in that spot. Btw., i don't feel like the ghosting increases with volume - at about 6 i hear it and it doesn't get much worse at 10.

7-8 is about right, whats it like without the hotplate?

I have a 4x12 cab, but i have only 2x g12H's in there right now, haven't hooked up the other two that are ready to be put in yet - hence i haven't tried it without the hot-plate (at -4db as minimum). What i did try was pulling two tubes and run it this way without the hot plate. The ghosting was still there - so it's not the attenuators impact.

Sorry for bringing this issue into your thread, which was about your modded 45/100! I didn't want to hijack it. I'll make a new trhead for this, as winter holidays are close and i might get some time to try to get rid of the ghosting and it seems like this is a good place to ask for advice.
