Anyone in Japan??

Post by Funkalicousgroove »

Hello!!

Are any of you out there located in Japan? and if so, would you be willing to locate a few hard to find parts for me in exchange for one of my super cool Dumble Chassis?

Thanks,

Brandon

No, but I travel to Japan often. I go to Yokohama area so I'm close to Tokyo also. What do you need and how can I help?

My next trip will be the week of October 10th and I'll have about 1/2 day Friday to look around for you. Let me know.

I need some Toichi "tone factory" vitamin-q Oil in paper caps.

I need 25 .022 @ 1000V

and 25 .1 @ 1000v

They're usually about $4 each. I can swap you for a chassis and pay the difference, or just pay you for the caps.

I'll get in contact with you before I go. There's an "Electric town" In Akihabra where street vendors sell electronic components, plus I can check with my Japanese counterparts and see if there's somewhere else I can go.

O.K. Funk whats the good oil on these oils.
Did a search on google and came up with nothin'.
Have a bunch of old oil caps (spragues, ect) kicking around for years but haven't used them as I read somewhere years ago that they didn't cut it in tube amps.

Don't get too excited fellas, They're found in High End Tube Hi-Fi amps, I am going to try my hand at a HI FI. You could try them in a guitar amp, but they might be kinda sterile sounding....maybe not? At $4 ea vs $.33 for an orange drop that's kind of a high dollar experiment though!
