Ceriatone Dildo-lator to be released soon

Post by JD0x0 »

i have confermation that Ceriatone is finally releasing a tube version of the kleinulator. Can't wait to see it and hear it. I still havent tried a umbleator with any of my ODS amps as there is no source to buy them at a reasonable price until now

And the name is to die for

Seems to have little resemblance to the real deal...

Fuchs/Plush has been making a tube loop and a tube loop with a built in reverb for almost 2-years, both quite reasonable. So has Brownnote, Red Plate, and others as well.

yes i relized that. the Plush pedal looks sweet but i'm not a huge fan of reverb or digital effects (the digital reverb) also ive never had a chance to try it out in person
And regretably i still havent found a Fuchs ODS to try.

from what ive seen most dlator effects have been quite expensive with the exception of your pedal, Andy, and the klein from ceriatone.

Andy, im going to have to drive down to NJ one day and give all your amps a go, they sound beautiful

Thanks for the kind words. Don't fear digital....lol. I have studios and sound guys using the Verbrator in place of many hallowed processors and effects.

It will be interesting to see the price point, features, and the inspiration used for the new C-tone device.

I think it is kind of juvenile to name that tube loop that way.
Hopefully Nik will choose a different name.
Not that I am some kind of puritan, I just think it is in poor taste.

Thumbs down for the name.

Andy,

What is the difference between the Plush tube FX loop and the loop that is built into your ODS amp? The amp has an active FX loop already, so no need for the Plush device, if I understand correctly?

It's the same loop as the ODS in all respects: series/parallel, return trim, send and return level controls, except it runs on a switch mode power supply. It runs on an external 9-VDC adaptor, while the 12AX7 tube runs on regulated 300-V and 6VDC filaments. Both models same circuits. The Verbrator (tm) and Tube Fx Loop (r) are the same circuit. The Verbrator (tm) reverb is fully out of circuit when the reverb is turned off.

If you have an ODS (c), you won't need one.

If you have an amp with a passive loop (or patch jacks) i.e.: Two-Rock, Bludo, Brown Note, Ceriatone, Dumble, etc etc, you should use one when using outboard effects for maximum fidelity.
