LV 2204 Build in Progress

Post by ToneMerc »

Since I haven't built anything this all this year I wanted to get at least one build in. Originally I was going to make it straight 6V6 2204, now I'm not so sure. I have TW iron, Marshall iron and too many choices. I ordered a custom PT from Heyboer a few weeks ago and a head box from Mojo on 10/30 so hopefully those items should be showing up soon.

I have made the turret boards, mocked them up for fitment and I have one more major hole to drill in the top of the chassis for the cap can.

50W Chassis & faceplate: Valvestorm
PT & choke : Heyboer
OT: Heyboer OT50
Caps: Mustard
Resistors: Piher CF & Dale MF's
Pots: CTS

Pulling up a seat for this one. External bias adjust & looks like a multi turn pot. OTT & Nice.

If my abacus was correct, it should be just shy of 370 at around 122.5 volts.

External bias and a voicing (push/pull pot) switch on v2a cathode, overall nothing too fancy other than a bunch of alternative values in certain places.

Naw, just nice old sealed mil surplus Clarostat 20K pot from 11/59. Funny, when I cut it out of the sealed foil pack the other day, I said too bad this quality is commonplace anymore.

More mock up pics with the cap can and additional ground holes drilled. Also, swapped out the 20K bias pot for a 55K.
