JTM45 build...looking to buy this, can I get your opinions?

Post by gkelm »

Hey Guys...I'm not a builder but hang out here for some of the great knowledge and cool amps for sale.

Looking at this JTM45 build...
http://s510.photobucket.com/user/bogner ... t=3&page=1

Has external bias points and bias adjuster. Merren output and MM PT. Not sure I completely understand the 8/6.6k tap switch, but supposedly it allows for more clean headroom. Seller says it can run KT66, EL34, and 6V6.

Your thoughts?

Any help appreciated!

Nice!

JTM45 is a great amp.

That one certainly looks good. The proof-of-the-pudding is playing through it though.

Thanks guys...it's $850 with headshell and no tubes. Seems fairly reasonable.

Don't give Reel the link to that amp! He's the reaper to tube rectifiers!

Thanks Mark...only problem is it's an online deal, so no test drive available. Contemplating a roll of the dice!

Looks worth taking a chance on Greg.
Even if it doesn't sound to your liking when you get it.
There's enough Marshall expertise on here to get you what you want.
I'd go for it.
