It's not the primary side of the PT. It's just two holes on the bottom of the shell. You can put any wires you want through either holes. Some manufacturers like to equalize the number of wires exiting through the holes. You'll get messed up sooner or later if you believe that only primary wires are on this side and only secondary wires are on the other side.

Here is a layout I am looking at for reference. Should be a good guide.

So just to the right of the 8.2k r what is that screen/box graphic above the word choke? Just curious.

Are these two methods of wiring the input equivalent? I think yes.

Is this an error? The schematic I have, in the rectifier area, show a line running into the right hand side 50uf with no connection? No dot no connection. Why is that line there? From the diode to the cap.

Looks correct, the only thing missing is a dot to show a definite connection. But that's the -ve end of the FWBR, connected to ground. What's different is the HT CT is connected to the middle of the cap stack. That's an unusual combination of things, and beyond my experience.

That forces the B+ to split equally across the cap stack. No need for balance resistors.

Very good, I will add the dot. And understood on the B+ split. Thanks

Angelo, you will notice they mark thin wire and thick wire so you know the higher amperage wires such as the filament supply use the thicker wire which can be of same color as the thin wires.

I watched that closely when I used these transformers (Heyboers).

Mark, yes I saw that and moving ahead cautiously. My First 100 water. So these are Heyboers? They have the same color code as MM I believe.

Thanks Mark

With a lot of respect for what are iconic amps, what was the reason for running the jumpers above board and not below as in the Dumble amps? Same question regarding the additional holes to allow the lead wires to exit under the board. Were these aesthetic decisions or do you find that one technique verses the other makes for a cleaner, noise free amp?
