Nice setup. OK I got the cathode resistor switch, on your pull Bright Volume when you pull the .005 cap comes on, when it's off is there another cap in, like 500pF? Looks like there is one in this BKW schematic.

Thanks.

In theory, theory is the same as practice. In practice it's different.

Hi Joe,

I've done it a few ways before. Via a separate three way toggle where 560pF was one of two bright cap values, 5000pF being the other, the second using a CTS pull switch pot with 5000pF wired across the switch and 470pF permanently wired in, and the other a CTS pull pot switch with just 5000pF. Different strokes for different folks. This was for more traditional '68 to '71-ish Plexi circuits, not cascaded, higher-gain Marshalls. I personally like the sound of that 680nF bypass cap always over the 820R on V2a. Brings out the midrange magic. I've also used a CTS pull switch pot for the Normal channel volume pot and used the switch portion to switch in different stuff, like a fatter cap over V2a when chasing a browner sound.

HTH.

You need to push some air for those tones. Let the cabinets breath and speakers move.
