My idea for a new build I wanted to start soon. It would be JTM45 from the power tube section all the way down to the preamp tube (V2) then I want to slice in the preamp section of a 2204.
I will also add a 2 tube fender reverb and passive effects loop . Can't wait to start this!

I built a 2204 head a while back.
It is at my mentor's house now. He is optimizing it for single coil pickups, and detests the 2204 tonestack (poor separation and too much high mids), lastly he's going to hack in my Clark Amps add-a-verb and a small reverb tank. looking forward to the end result. should be a really fun rock amp, like your idea.

Thanks Andy, yes I am looking forward to starting it. Just got to find the time, so much visiting and travelling going on over the holidays lol.
