Ceriatone 67 Plexi - Classic Tone OT wiring

Post by bmcash »

Hi Everyone,
I am making my way to wiring the OT transformer and I am using a OT from Classictone- obviously the wire color is different.

Before I begin to make the connections, I would like to put it pass you guys first. The layout and the OT documents are attached.

Here is my take - Given that the primary side is 1.7K Ohms then I could route the red and white wires to the pin 3 of V5 and V6. I am assuming the blue is center tap. If the red and white wires are equivalent, then it should not matter which goes to which valve. Am I correct on this? Where the heck does the center tap go?

Anyways, thanks for looking at this and I appreciate all feedback. This is a fun project!

The Classictone OT primary CT is white. Red and blue go to pin 3 one per side.

Black is common
orange 4 ohms
yellow 8 ohms
green 16 ohms

Ceriatone OT primary CT is red. Blue and brown go to pin 3 one per side.

black is common
green 4 ohms
yellow 8 ohms
brown 16 ohms

Thanks man. Going back and looking at the OT document, I am assuming the white is the CT because it is literally in the center on the blue and the red?

I was thinking there was something special about the black dot next to the "blue" on the OT document.

Thanks,

There is... It tells you about the phasing from the primary to the secondary, and it means the red lead on your OT corresponds to the blue lead in the layout diagram. But leave the red and blue leads long enough so that you can swap them just in case.
