This is my second Marshall type amp with Orange drops - sounds like a million bucks.

I like the little yellow caps from IC in Bassman and other Fender style amps and if it is going to be a higher gain amp like this one I will install Orange Drops.

I can't put my finger on it but it seems like it defines each note better or something - anyway - I like the result.

In a Fender style amp they are just too clean or sterile or something - but I don't like them in relatively clean amps.

I used those IC caps in some Fender builds too as well as what some suppliers call basic coupling caps (yellow) no markings for brand in 5b6 bassman builds and they sound great. Been using Mojotone Dijon caps as well. Man I'm itching to try another Marshall Last high gain 100w AFD#39 build I used film caps.

Depends on the orange drop . 6ps sound good in a fender. 715 too sterile as you say.
