As an aside, Normal channel is medium rage distortion unit cascaded onto the Vib channel. Vib channel is 124'd. Vib channel EQ is basically stock but I clipped that stupid 70k tap off the treble (because tone doesn't have time for that.. if Leo patented that, he was a dimwit)

Have a look at the revibe and see if there are any interesting harmonic vibrato mods. Maybe sluckey’s version has some tweaks?

K, will do! It's almost deep enough to make me happy the crossover point probably needs something..

Thanks, Martin. I am already over there and messing with the monster a lil.

Thanks, Dave. Yiu were absolutely right about direction. I am surprised how much the cathode changes brought the output down.

Thanks for the revibe thing, Sluckey!

That is great Martin! Thanks for sharing.

I always wanted to try this circuit, might be an idea for a future amp. On a build where this circuit would be "build in" would you place the tremolo in front of everything else (as if it was a stand alone unit in front of the amp) or between the tonestack and the PI as per Fender brownface amps?

This unit is made to plug into the amp input.

If you are going to build a vibrato circuit into an amp, you should look at the Bandmaster schematic above. It takes three tubes to do it, but it is basically a tube Univibe. It doesn't do swamp; it does Jimi and Robin Trower.

Thanks! I played a '63 brownface concert once and absolutely loved the harmonic vibrato. I am curious to the mods you will settle on.
I also wonder how different the unit at the input sounds to the Bandmaster schematic above.

I replaced the 4u over the 4k7 with a Mal electrolytic 5u. I have a 4u film cap. 20% +/-10% is larger than it needs to be.

Question: In that mixing scheme I am looking for values that give maximum warble given a strong and balanced tube. I think the crossover points could come down a lil and contribute to more seasick. I can't draw on this device. Bummer.

If I make both the caps bigger, that will increase the slope of each side, will it not It's just an inverted pair of flters. Solve for both and pick a pair..
