Post by M Fowler »

Swamper number 3 finally went together, will mount in snake skin 1-12" combo cab with WGS Veteran 30 speaker.

Combo picture is Swamper No. 2 with gray knobs.

Modified 5f6a category.

Single input, Hi and Low V1 mixed each with their own pot. The master volume really allows one to get about whatever gain and volume you need.

Perhaps a tone stack bypass/PAB would be nice for some people.

Pair of 6L6GC, GZ34 recto, and 3-12AX7 preamp tubes.

The schematic is old and version number 1. Since then I've gone to fixed bias, increased filter cap values and tried different preamp changes more Dumble values high plate vs low plate thing.

I'd offer $650 for it but I only have $100 ;-} (You know what I mean.)

Real fine job on this, Mark. Looks great. I'm sure it sounds every bit as good as it looks. You're setting a high standard here. Others may find it tough to measure up!

Looking good. For the first time I'm starting to consider some alternative coverings. Perhaps something in gator.
