Fender Twinolux schematic ? Topology guesses ?

Post by chopstuck »

I really like the two EC amps I have played, the little Tremolux and the Twin sister too.

I was wondering if anyone had a schematic for them as I have built many of the Super/ Bandmaster/ Pro tweeds and would like to add THAT bias trem (I think) to the circuit. Could it be lifted intact from say the brown Vibroverb ?

I always thought the single triode trem circuits didn't have enough voltage swing for big bottles.

I may do a Trem -Deluxe too but I would have to keep it cathode bias. Otherwise it's not a tweed Deluxe when the trem is off.
Maybe like a Gibson GA18T Explorer...

I don't know why the Vibroverb circuit wouldn't be the approach Fender took with those amps. If you look at the '63 RI Vibroverb schematic you can see some changes from the original in the trem. I haven't built one like that, but maybe it has improved performance.

Thanks for the info Martin. I will compare the two.
