Re: Anyone interrested in the Super Champ?
Guys I forgot to mention previously that the Super Champ does have a different phase inverter (cathodyne) than the Princeton II. I'd probably build a cathodyne PI version just to have something different in my collection, and also I think the SC can get a little more distortion with all knobs on 10. When set right the SC can do blackface, tweed and even lower gain Marshall territory. Great amp!

Re: Anyone interrested in the Super Champ?
I've got a Champ II which is basically the Super Champ minus the reverb and footswitchable boost.
Mine was an orphan chassis that's now in a JD Newell 12" Champ cab.
It makes a very nice 18W master volume practice/jam amp.
A couple notes:
- The power transformer is the same in the Champ II, Super Champ and Princeton Reverb II.
- The OT is the same in the SC, CII and traditional Princeton, 8K.
- The PRII OT is the Deluxe 6.6K.
- The chassis is the same 15.25" width as the various Champs.
- IIRC, The PRII chassis is a unique size, slightly wider than the traditional Princeton's 18.25".
Allen has a 15.25" Champ style "project" chassis that might make a good platform for one of these.
